FBI Authorized Recipients

Make an appointment with Printscan and receive your ink fingerprints today

An Authorized Recipient is an entity, nongovernmental or governmental, that is authorized by federal statute or federal executive order to receive fingerprint background check results on behalf of a prospective employee to determine their suitability for employment. The most common example of an Authorized Recipient is a bank.

Authorized Recipient entities are issued an ORI (Originating Agency Identifier) number and are entitled to outsource their fingerprint submissions through an Approved FBI channeler for faster and more efficient processing.

Prior to the outsourcing of fingerprint submissions, the Authorized Recipient is required to request and receive written permission from the FBI Compact Officer. As a subcontracted FBI Channeler, PrintScan can assist any Authorized Recipient agency with getting approved for electronic submissions to the FBI.

PrintScan Enrollment Software comes fully equipped with the ability to process fingerprints electronically for any Authorized Recipient!
